Unit sizes not affect historical battles?

Does changing unit size in options have no effect in historical battles? Is there any way to make it have an affect or will this break something? thanks

No changing the unit size in options has no effect but if you enable battle editor you can open historical battles and make unit numbers bigger and smaller and move them and everything
