I still think its a bit of a joke tbh, I went to "Untrustworthy" for marching to Edesa to help Crusader States without military access and Hungary attacked HRE but I kept an alliance with the HRE?

Absolutely fuming at this because I went from Reliable to that, and now neutral nations don't trust me so alliances are pretty much off the table.

I don't use assassins, never betrayed alliances, never use spies on allies...

Without cheating, what's the quickest way to get your rep back?

    lol what ?
so you marched to Edessa to help the CS, what faction are you playing ? and what does Hungary attacking HRE have to do with your march and the reputation hit?

Byzantine. Marched to help them vs Turks and my rep went down.

HRE vs Hungary were both my allies. Hungary attacked Hre, so I sided with the defender not the attacker and my rep suffered

Marching across neutral territory without military access will not affect your reputation. It will only reduce your relations with that faction. Using spies and assassins will also not affect your reputation.

Breaking off an alliance if two of your allies go to war will only result in a tiny drop in reputation. Your rep would not drop from reliable to untrustworthy. You did a lot of other stuff to make that happen.

The best way to gain rep is to capture prisoners and release them.

The only way that would happen is if you executed prisoners when helping Byzantium. Just marching there to help them would do nothing to your rep.

Occupying a settlement does not increase your reputation.
