Default Shogun 2 Crash in SP

Whenever I play shogun 2 in SP campaign I get CTD on map, but never during actual battles. Im not sure what the problem is and I'm hoping you guys can help me fix! This is a real problem though as it is impossible to play the game because around 3-4 minutes or in 1 turn it does crash.

    Verify the game cache?
    Lower your graphics settings?
    Check your voltages and temps?

We're checking to see if Steam goofed.

I've checked my cache a few (6-7) times now but each time it stops at 74% and doesn't continue. I've waited 30 minutes to no avail. This is bad?

Mine is doing this randomly between turns 6 and 11, but I have the turn saved and it does the CTD during the end turn sequence at the exact same spot every time once it CTD's. I have on the lowest possible setting because my pc is ancient. I know this maybe the possible issue (however I managed to play Arkham City and its DLC with no hiccups) I am verifying the cache...don't know how to check temps or volts etc. Lastly how do I post you the CTD log..it's been so long since I have needed a techy to bale me out! Thank you for your time!

For volts and temps, try Speedfan.

    Laptop/notebook?

If so, and the gpu and core already where they are, you fire S2, and they will jump without adequate cooling.

Have you cleaned out case lately?

What kind of condition are the fans in?

Its a PC....cleaned out the case? I assume they are ok...I cleaned the pc recently haven't had any issues with Arkham City. I have FOTS on lowest of the low settings. The faces look like a inkblot test.

    Post the dxdiag.

FotS and the patches following changed a lot of things.

Run MSI Afterburner and post a pic of where it crashes. One place a picture is worth a thousand words.
