    Default DarthMod Napoleon v2.5+ HotFix Open Beta (Update 4) *CLOSED*

    XXX REMOVED
    In order to be sure that everything is good before the big upload of the mod we will need your feedback.

    -unzip somewhere
    -Place the "DMN" folder and "DMN_DarthMod_Napoleon.pack" and "DMN_Darth_Effects_Napoleon" to the data folder of the game which is usually in the destination: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\napoleon total war\data

    Changes & Improvements
    -Fixed the Emergent Campaigns that did not not load from the launcher.
    -Fixed an issue of the launcher that prevented the manual toggle of unit size.
    -CAI should now defend and attack settlements with much larger forces so it will be even more challenging (Needs testing).
    -Naval CAI should distribute ships better in order to trade, attack, defend, invade.
    -Diplomacy should be more rational than before (Needs testing 1/7/2012).
    -Musket smoke fine tuned even better according to some latest feedback.
    -Artillery ground impact effects enhanced!
    -Artillery concussion effects & fragment lethality increased even more. (Not fully in this beta for Ottomans).
    -Names of the 2 new units of the latest CA DLC are now shown correctly. (Not in this beta).
    -Re-balanced the cost of all units so that there is more economic challenge in the campaign. (Not in this beta).

    ***Warning***
    -It is fully save game compatible but in order to be sure, enable SP Campaign script again from the launcher so that all the packs load properly with 100% probability.
    -We need urgent reports so that the full version is uploaded this week.

    Hey Darth? I downloaded this v2.5+ HotFix and all seems to be well(I`m seeing v2.5 Open Beta at the bottom of Load Screen). Unfortunately i`m new to the DarthMod series and still figuring out how to use everything. So I don`t know if I will be able to provide you with any useful info. or not.

    Could you please tell me what all Emergent nations I should be seeing at the load screen?

    Also; When I manually selected the 1x unit size with Europe and Emergent from the launcher. It still shows the 2x size units with my selected nation Batavia. Not sure what that means.This is`nt really a major concern for me because I like the big giant armies anyway.

    I`ts more than likely something i`ve done wrong. As 9 times out of 10 that seems to be the case. Not the sharpest tool in the shed!

    Only played a few rounds sofar but all appears to be good.

    The Beta was not the correct (was an older version).
    Now I fixed that.
    You should see in the below left DarthMod Napoleon v2.5+ Beta "Mythos Edition".
    Sorry for the misunderstanding, thanks for the first reports.

    Okay i`ve downloaded the latest 2 updates:
    Emergent factions all load properly as they should and everything works well in the Launcher.
    BAI is impressive in my opinion. Very aggresive and/or very deliberate depending on the situation you pose to them. Even though I was clearly winning in one battle. I timed out and lost because the enemy kept repositioning his forces.

    I am sure it has been stated before, but I cannot seem to be able to enable 40 unit armies in my Emergent campaign.

    Riht off the bay ihave noticed a far more thoughtful and aggressive ai as prussia launched a well co ordinated attack into hanover with three fill stack armies rather than the smaller raidong parties that are usual. The forces also seemed well composed of al larms in proportion. Equally impressive is the ais ability to seemingly assess the situation from the outset and deploy accordingly,going o nthe defensive when outgunned and pressing its advantahe when present.The ai does very well when probed on its flanks as well. In vanilla when probed the ai will mobilise all forces from its position to assault but here it does well to engage on the flank,refusing it if you will,while keeping the rest of its line intact. Excellent stuff that lead to my first ever defeat from time lapse,which is an excellent thing as the ai forced me to be cautious in my attacks

    My only gripe is the smoke, I feel the colour is now too dark, and there is just not enough of it.......Everything that Chevalier has said here and in the mythos 2.5 Feedback I agree with.....in terms of the smoke, I know I keep going on about it, I really don't mean to nag.

    Hawkeye you have to understand that smoke has to be balanced in order not to cause lag and to be playable in all systems. This is the best solution I have and I think it is already MUCH thicker and enduring than any other smoke mod or official game effect.

    New update. Please notice the new diplomacy (if it is more reasonable/better and the CAI armies if they are much more powerful).

    The smoke is more than sufficent. Anymore would lag the system and make the game awkward.
    so far you have revolutionised the game and the AI could actually be called smart. The god damned calvary gets me everytime and messes me up. So thank you.

    But Hawkeye you have to remember that due to your feedback (and other's of course) the BAI and the Smoke are now that improved. So, I do not want to discourage feedback and constructive criticism because these help to improve the mod.

    40 unit armies are enabled only via the launcher separately from any other campaign type. You enable them from the launcher and you load the saves from the game.

    By the way, when i go for heal the price is actual, not like in the picture. I had to pay 6600 after this battle.

    New update with these latest additions:
    -Musket smoke fine tuned even better according to some latest feedback.

    (The effects are enhanced thanks to the opinions of Hawkeye and ChevalierIX, two of the oldest DarthMod "feedbackers")

    The mod is ready for upload but I need urgent feedback about the effects and CAI/diplomacy in order to make it available tomorrow.

    Seems strange and hard coded. Never witnessed this problem.

    Just as I believed that the effects could not be better,here you have unleashed an epic creation upon us all.The smoke now billows like the clouds of war beset upon the combatants,sweeping the field and obscuring the carnage,and the new ground impacts are significantly improved,creating more the effect of a mighty bombardment of cannon fire,wreaking havok upon all in its path,sending up clouds of dust and dirt to mix with the overall ambience.Truly cinematic Darth,thanks so much!

    Thought that the new faction names add a great deal of authenticity to the game, e.g. 'Austrian Empire' as opposed to the relatively ambiguous 'Austria'. However, when playing as the 'Kingdom of Prussia' I've noticed that the faction name does not change back to 'Prussia' or something else if I have a revolution and change to a republic.

    Is there any way I can tinker with the DMN files to change the faction names?

    I'm in a bit of a hurry at the moment, but I just thought I'd throw away a quick question: This is compatible with the 2 DLC's Imperial Eagle & The Heroes of the Nepoleonic War right? was thinking about buying them now, that's why I'm asking ^^
