Hmm i dont think my Disc will last much longer

well it just has tons of scratches on it though it still works perfectly but if anything happens to it all i have a cd-key and without disc 1 i'm screwed for good it seems. does CA have anything like what Blizzard did by adding Online Download/maintennce or am i just forced to quit if this breaks?

If you go to gamestop.com and download their app. To your desktop they both Rome total war and medieval 2 gold editions for 10 bucks. Don't know if you'll be interested

that's when I decided to download the "no-cd-crack". if you want to, I can upload it for you. I got all fixes, mods and patches on my hard drive!

unfortunately neither deleting nor editing is possible...

still... i hope i won't get banned. of course it is not correct to do such a thing as using a crack and i highly recommend people not to use one, however it might be a tempting and easy solution...

Steam and Amazon also have M2TW pretty cheap, probably $5-10. These allow you to play without the CD because they are direct downloads.

I would be cautious about buying the game off Steam. I've read about lots of problems that it can cause with mods. I don't know firsthand though since I don't have the game for Steam.
