I just finished listening to their song, "Writing on the Walls" and these guys are some of the best I have heard in a long time! What's interesting is that they consider themselves "Christian Hardcore"

Christian Hardcore? That name has so many different possible interpretations...
- A hardcore Christian
- Hardcore for Christian music (one step above mary had a little lamb?)
- Hardcore music that is Christian (JEEESSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSS ARRGH?)
I don't mean to ridicule Christian music, but "Christian Hardcore" seems a tad oxymoronic to me.
I love Underoath.(check my userbars) They are a christian band. Their last 2 cd's have been great. I wasn't a big fan of their first cd. I'm glad they got a new lead singer. Favorite song is "In Regards to Self."
Favorite song on old album. HERE is the music video for it.
HERES the video for "Writing on the Walls."

I'm not a huge fan to be honest. They're just another screamo band to me. Nothing different from the 50 odd screamo bands I know.
It is a bit oxymoronic. Hardcore generally represents anti-system. Christianity is not anti-system.

Exactly, they bore the crap out of me. And I found them just as boring before I knew they were Christian.Originally Posted by Stalins Ghost
No, the culture that generally goes along with hardcore scenes is "anti-system." Hardcore is really just a type of music though. Christian hardcore blows. It is a bit oxymoronic. Hardcore generally represents anti-system. Christianity is not anti-system.

**** those stupid ****s.Originally Posted by "A Love So Pure" - Underoath
Why? Because they wrote a Christian song? Seems kinda ignorant to say that. But what can you expect from atheists.Originally Posted by Atheist Peace
No, because it's whiny crap. It sickens me.Originally Posted by Hub'ite

Seriously, no you wouldn't be warned/deleted/suspended if you did so. If you truly believe that crap, then go post something like that there, right now.
edit: I just realized what it may look like... "that crap" means what you said about how you'd be suspended, not... what it might mean.

I think its kind of funny. If I went onto SIN's thread and posted a quote or lyrics from an atheist and said to **** those stupid ****s I would be warned/post deleted/suspended for flaming. But since its against Christians its ok I guess.
I COULD be a member of Underoath, who knows?Originally Posted by Justinian
Sorry I was just in a Christian-persecution mood yesterday.
It would be really cool if a member of underOATH was on this site. Would emo partly describe these guys?
Erm these guys all prolly weigh under 125 pounds and seem very emoish to me. Their voices are good, but alot of people have good voices, that certainly doesn't get you anywhere these days.
