Hi guys!
Not sure how documented/common this is, not even sure if its a bug or something we have done wrong.
Basically, a friend and me have been trying to finish a MPC since S2TW release but because of desynchs it never happened!
Well, after taking a break from TW, we saw in latest patch notes that this has been addressed with a Resynch attempting to take place, so we thought we would try again.
Anyways, after nearly 2 weeks of playing we had matched the victory conditions (Hold 60 regions including 6 specific ones) but it never brought up the menu box you get in singleplayer - the one where it says the campaign is completed and offers you to continue playing or return to the main menu.
Anyway, we thought maybe it was because the Uesugi still had 2 regions in the east (The Dates starting region and the one next to it), and the rebels still had the Hattori starting region, so we spent the next few turns capturing every region on the map and still the campaign wont end.
Now there is no-one left in Japan but him (Shimazu) and me (Ikko-Ikki) and because its Co-Op we cannot declare war on each other or anything.
So, what have we done wrong? Why hasnt the campaign ended? (as i said, never ever had a MPC get this far before)
Incase it helps the set-up options were Medium Army and Navy size, no turn time, both of us on normal diff, default battle resolution was auto resolve. We did fight a lot of battle ourselves (including some very large ones) and they ran fine.
My only guess is maybe because my mate took Kyoto and i should have, because i set-up the MPC so am considered Player 1, is the reason it wont end. If i take Kyoto then it will "trip" the end of the campaign. Only problem with this is the new stability of the MPC lured us into false security and instead of saving every turn (Like we used to) i was saving it quite rarely, so we would be about 20/25 turns away from my friend attacking Kyoto if we was to go back and try me taking it! Needless to say, this isnt an appealing option, especially if it doesnt work anyway, so any input into whats gone wrong and what could fix it would be much appreciated!
(we were gonna do a head to head one next, but i just feel like its a waste of time if its stuck in a never ending loop).
