    Default Legions DUde

First of all , hello to all the comunity and thanks for this increidible mod .
after that i have to say that im getting mad .... im using the 2.0 version with the fix 2.1 ( i see the 2.5 is available but first i want to solve this problem )
I destroy hannibal , reconquered all italy , and a little of territories owned by averny , i built the imperial palace in akragas and i get the marian reforms , and i said , nice lets do some legions .

I cant do it ... i can built late praetorian legions in rome and cabalary also , but i can recruit only legions in the more south east region ( i dont remember the name of the city ) ive got the same building in the other regions but i cant recruit nothing , only Evocati and auxilia.

I was searching in the forum previously to make me sure that im doing right and i found this

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=395760

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Because each legion has its own particular Area of Recruitment (AOR), is unique to itself, and can only be recruited after the Marian Reforms, people often ask that one question: How/When can I recruit the legions? Rest assured, this is a simple guideline to to facilitate you in recruiting the legions.

    • You initiate the Marian Reforms by building an imperial palace in Akragas (located in Sicily). This allows you to recruit non-named and non-numbered legions.
    • To set the basework for recruiting numbered and named legions, you must build a Supply of Army Rations in the city you wish to recruit from
    • To be able to recruit the Hamata or "Republican" legions, you must build a Roman Fortress in the city you wish to recruit from.
    • To be able to recruit the Segmentata or "Imperial" legions, you must build a Curia Hostilia in the city you wish to recruit from.
    • To be able to recruit early Praetorian legions, you must build the Praetorian Guard Training Ground in Rome.
    • To be able to recruit late Praetorian legions, you must build the Castra Praetoria in Rome.

    ive got this in rome

    • To be able to recruit early Praetorian legions, you must build the Praetorian Guard Training Ground in Rome.
    • To be able to recruit late Praetorian legions, you must build the Castra Praetoria in Rome.

But all of this building dont appear in any other setlement ( ive got imperial palace in all of them and is year 650... more or less )

    So i think WTF ???
thanks u for ur time and seriusly , any one got the same problem ?? oh forget to tell , that all provinces i take its anexed , for try i make one setlement client state , but no diference. so im really mad , and i wanna play !!!! jajaja , so thats it

I strongly recommend viewing lots of the information here:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=534584

The bit of information you are missing is that you need to develop the 'Oppidum' buildings the first 3 levels, before being able to build the Campus Martius - which then allows the Roman Fortress after the Reforms.

All the information is detailed in the description(s) that accompany those first 3 buildings and is easily accessible from your building tree.

Why you think wtf? You have the solution right there. I wonder what your problem is, just build the barracks. In the description of each barracks building you will find the requirements for the next level. Also, don't trigger the reforms before you built some high level barracks, i.e. campus martius.

Well, when the reforms happen is entirely in your control - I recommend not doing it, however, until you have several settlements already upgraded to be able to produce the Late Republican legions - Oppidum Lvl 3 in Area 6 or Campus Martius everywhere else.

No bug - recruiting legions means you recruit from Citizens - so it's necessary to completely Romanize an area first. There's nothing stopping you recruiting Allies or Mecenaries.

Yes - get the Administration buildings upgraded to the right level.

You may feel you want to, but there's no need to - just crack on and 'manage the change' All part of being a good Emperor/Dictator/General.

    NB - Sentences help.

I had this problem once where One city didn't have numbered legions even if already upgraded to full.

So this is what I did.

    1. Restarted campaign (I know you might be mad at first)
    2. Built things in the correct manner.

When you get an option to select Client State or Annex region select Annex Region
Then when you get the choice to select between Fortified or Economic Region choose Fortified
And when you get the choice between Repopulation or Suburbs choose suburbs.

And then the rest is up to you. You should then be able to build Legionaries.

You could destroy everything in the settlement but with all the tiers of construction there are a lot of buildings that are not shown but will later be shown when buildings are destroyed, and some that can't be destroyed at all leaving every other building at the lower part of the tiers unselectable.

This here may be the difficulty the original poster has. In order to build the Fortress & Curia Hostilia, the region must be a Fortified Region or a Economic & Fortified Region. If it is just an Economic Region, there will be no option to build the higher level fortresses for numbered legions.

No, I understand that - but the answer is simply to convert an Economic focus into a Merged one.

The slide that I was urging the OP to go find is attached - everyone should have one just to remind them.

I believe it now only contains one-and-a-half small errors: Triarii can't be recruited in the 3rd level, have to wait for the 4th; and you will be able to recruit a small Lithobolos in Roma with the next patch.
