Which do you think is the best duel in a film? I mean any duel (martial arts, with guns, with swords...)
In my opinion is the duel of Bruce Lee with Chuck Norris
What do you think?
Walker Texas Ranger (Chuck Norris) vs. Lerou (sp?).
They fight for 15-20 minutes, just plain choking each other and occasionally a punch in the face. It's become so famous in my circle of friends that sometimes, if we see each other, we'll yell "LEROU!", run at each other and choke the other.![]()
The fights in Hero was very well choreographed i must say, great film. The first one in the rain was pretty classy i though..
Forget duels, anything with chuck norris fighting a couple of robber/bad guys etc is fun to watch.Originally Posted by lila-laune-bär

Hector vs. Achilles in 'Troy'. It was the only bit of the whole movie really worth watching, but it was still something special. The spearwork at the beginning, the speed and the precision, and Hector valiantly fighting off all Achilles' god-imbued special moves, and damn near getting him with a sweep across his breastplate (and Achilles looks down at the scratch with some bemusement). And then one of the best lines in any movie ever: "Get up, Prince of Troy - I will not be cheated of my glory by a stone."

Not really a 'duel' per say, but the chase scene in 'Ronin' was badass.
MOst of the fights in Once upon a time in china I & II , especially the fights under the rain and in the warehouse in 2, and the end fight in the temple with the tables in II...
Yeah the chase scenes in Ronin were brilliant. But I think the best fight scene would be Between JAde Fox and that police officer and her daughter and the comedy relief guy in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I don't know how manay times I watched that fight.
Conan the Barbarian vs Maximus Decimus Meridius..

The best duel in a film would be fight in the end of Gladiator, in which the emperor loses his sword and the Praetorians refuse to give him theirs.
Moved to "The Arts"

Well I was going to say Mel Gibson and Gary Sinise in "Ransom", but I think that TB666 just trumped everyone.
lol TB666 that video is just wrong.
Anyway i second the Troy Achilles-Hector fight, definitely saved that film
Man that ginger lady pwnt him! Then again Socket's one eyed rage was awe inspiring!Damn but this meat-hook thing is nifty - Mussolini anyone?
Yeah, see ya!
I wasn't that impressed by the Hector vs. Achilles duel, to tell you the truth. My favourite character from the Trojan war is Ajax the Great - the only major character not to have the gods intervene on his behalf. He also ended up getting severly screwed over by his supposed allies, much worse than Achilles ever was.
But, in my humble opinion, this is the best duel ever, from Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo.Originally Posted by wiki

I'd have to say any of the Duels in Hero, the first one in the rain is very very good though, and blue(i think, i get confused with all the different colours) one on the lake.
