Which do you think is the best duel in a film? I mean any duel (martial arts, with guns, with swords...)
In my opinion is the duel of Bruce Lee with Chuck Norris
    What do you think?

Walker Texas Ranger (Chuck Norris) vs. Lerou (sp?).
They fight for 15-20 minutes, just plain choking each other and occasionally a punch in the face. It's become so famous in my circle of friends that sometimes, if we see each other, we'll yell "LEROU!", run at each other and choke the other.

Forget duels, anything with chuck norris fighting a couple of robber/bad guys etc is fun to watch.

Hector vs. Achilles in 'Troy'. It was the only bit of the whole movie really worth watching, but it was still something special. The spearwork at the beginning, the speed and the precision, and Hector valiantly fighting off all Achilles' god-imbued special moves, and damn near getting him with a sweep across his breastplate (and Achilles looks down at the scratch with some bemusement). And then one of the best lines in any movie ever: "Get up, Prince of Troy - I will not be cheated of my glory by a stone."

Not really a 'duel' per say, but the chase scene in 'Ronin' was badass.

Yeah the chase scenes in Ronin were brilliant. But I think the best fight scene would be Between JAde Fox and that police officer and her daughter and the comedy relief guy in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. I don't know how manay times I watched that fight.

It's not an actual duel, but Rumble in the Bronx has an awesome scene in which Jackie Chan beats over a dozen gang members. His weapons: old refrigerators.

Yeah, I've seen that one, it's awesome, like most Jacky Chan films

The best duel in a film would be fight in the end of Gladiator, in which the emperor loses his sword and the Praetorians refuse to give him theirs.

Well I was going to say Mel Gibson and Gary Sinise in "Ransom", but I think that TB666 just trumped everyone.

Man that ginger lady pwnt him! Then again Socket's one eyed rage was awe inspiring! Damn but this meat-hook thing is nifty - Mussolini anyone?
    Yeah, see ya!

I wasn't that impressed by the Hector vs. Achilles duel, to tell you the truth. My favourite character from the Trojan war is Ajax the Great - the only major character not to have the gods intervene on his behalf. He also ended up getting severly screwed over by his supposed allies, much worse than Achilles ever was.

In the Iliad, Ajax is notable for his abundant strength and courage, seen particularly in two fights with Hector. In Book 7, Ajax is chosen by lot to meet Hector in a duel which lasts most of a whole day. Ajax at first gets the better of the encounter, wounding Hector with his spear and knocking him down with a large stone, but Hector fights on until the heralds, acting at the direction of Zeus, call a draw: the action ends without a winner and with the two combatants exchanging gifts.

The second fight between Ajax and Hector occurs when the latter breaks into the Achaean camp, and fights with the Greeks among the ships. In Book 14, Ajax throws a giant rock at Hector which almost kills him. In Book 15, Hector is restored to his strength by Apollo and returns to attack the ships. Ajax, wielding a spear as a weapon and leaping from ship to ship, holds off the Trojan armies virtually single-handedly. In Book 16, Hector is able to disarm Ajax (although Ajax is not hurt) and Ajax is forced to retreat under heavy fire. Hector and the Trojans succeed in burning one Greek ship, the culmination of an assault that almost finishes the war.
But, in my humble opinion, this is the best duel ever, from Il Buono, il brutto, il cattivo.

Best ever? Harvey Keitel and Keith Carradine in "The Duellists". You could choose any of the duels, but my favourite is the one with the least action. I believe it's the second duel where they stand for what seems an eternity (but only a few seconds in reality), make one pass, and the duel is over. Ridley Scott at his finest! You teenie "action" obssessed guys wouldn't get it - "Boring! Why don't they fight?"

I'd have to say any of the Duels in Hero, the first one in the rain is very very good though, and blue(i think, i get confused with all the different colours) one on the lake.
