    Default family tree cut off

I'm currently playing as the Byzantine Empire, and I have a problem with the family tree. At a certain point, my faction leader got a new ability (I forgot the name and he is already dead) which meant he was the one who started a 'new dinasty'. I checked the family tree and saw that only he and his children were displayed. The other family members, while still family members on the map, where dissapeared in the family tree. I continued playing but I find it rather disturbing, also because I can't know wheter new family members from the other sides of the family tree are born etc.

Is this a bug or is it a normal thing?

I'm running Medieval II (patch 1.03) with the Kingdoms expansion (patch 1.05) and Stainless Steel 6.4.

@Paragon: Do not be hasty, young Padawan. The answer is already in your heart.

@bertp1: Not every general on the map is a member of the royal family. If they are not a family member, they will of course not show up in the family tree. They will only become a member of the family if they are adopted later in the game through the "man of the hour" event after they have led troops in a battle - or if you marry a princess from your royal family to them.

The Byzantine Empire has multiple family trees in some campaigns... which can cause those not to apear on the (visible) family tree.
