Methodus Romulus Marcipii
Age: 19
Young Methodus was a freedman's son, descended from Etruscan nobility, and a scribe in the Temple of Jupiter, happily spending his days in the midst of the scrolls, which contained information on various topics ranging from Medicinal Arts and Religious Rites, to battlefield strategy and tales of conquest. He loved the scrolls containing the latter best. One fateful day, he was taken out of his family's home and pressing into service in the Legions of Rome. At first, his attempts at the physical side of soldiering were met with embarrassment, as the former scribe could barely hurl a pillum more than two yards. However, it was in commanding troops that his strength lay: he found that he had not only a formidable mind for strategy and logistics, but commanding the respect of the soldiers came easily. Within two short years, Methodus had risen through the ranks to Centurion, and now only awaits the approval of the Senate before he is granted the rank of General and the glory that comes with it....
