[Shogun II] Nanban trade

I know the advantages of accepting Nanban trade, all the way to becoming Christian and getting the Nanban Quarter, but are there any advantages in refusing it? I mean, like more happiness, or more Buddhist events? Until now I have always accepted it, even if not planning to become Christian or to build a Nanban trade port, if anything just for getting that free matchlock unit. But this unit is not worth the bother if I'm losing something good for refusing.

I've had events for happiness and wealth growth from farms, experience bonuses for samurai and monk recruits as a result. But those only last a few turns, not as good as the trade bonus IMO.

I started to play a Christian Mori campaign and is definitely a more challenging. There are no any special events when you refuse Nanban quarters.

When accepting Namban with no intention of converting I always park a monk in the city where I had it. Never had any problem with revolts etc and Christianity doesn't spread much. Anyway I usually refuse it with no side effect at all and use those already from the province that I have conquered.
