    Default Problems with battles

I get a CTD everytime i play a battle, it doesn't happen when I start the battle, it always happens when I'm about to attack an enemy army. At first it happened on vanilla and on crusader, so I thought I'd install some submods, but it still happens (I used SS and TATW for tests).

    The log is attatched under

My guess would be you're running out of memory.

    Post your dxdiag.

I do have 8GB RAM on my comp, and it is all new, got it 2 days ago, it is an upgrade from the old computer which never had problems running battles(except for a bit lag). There is also no other game opened and internet is not opened as well, so I don't think the Memory is the problem.

    Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM
    8GB DDR3 RAM
    750GB hard drive
    Radeon™ HD7690M 2GB

A bit of info on the computer, it is also a HP Pavilion dv6-6c60eo laptop.

Nice notebook. Just pulled it up.

Are you playing battles with everything maxxed including unit size?

It could be the game's engine running out of memory. My log looks like yours when it melts back into the desktop without finishing the EndTurn. My real reason for saying "running out of memory".

No, I don't have everything maxed out, I have Large unit size, low grass detail, low detail on anything unnecessary and medium/high on the more important things(like unit detail(medium))
So I still don't think it's my memory that is the problem, when I pulled up the processes, it only showed I was using about 1 GB RAM while playing the battle in SS, still crashed. It was no big fight(half stack against half stack)

It maybe game related, maybe not but since got your computer, have you run Wndows Update manually and install all software options?

Seriously, the notebook should handle this very well.

Do you do any multitasking while playing?

My laptop has almost identical specs to yours, except I have the Nvidia GT555M graphics card.

Trying running Windows update as irishron already said, and also make sure your all your drivers (especially graphics) are up to date.

Also, maybe it's over heating. You might download SpeedFan and post up what your temps are. You might also want to invest in a laptop cooler if you don't already have one. I have the 2 fan model Cooler Master.

Irishron: No I don't do any multitasking when I play.

    SF: I'll try that

And also I can't search for updates in WU because I don't have internet on it just yet. I use my old computer for internet. I just found out you can't download the speedfan without internet :/

It looks like you're stuck until you get internet. Good luck when you do.
