French Lancers as England

Hey everyone. Recently I started a campaign as England and I thought is would be neet if I can recruit some French units, seeing how the Norman English spoke french and that I plan to encorporate France into my empire. Anyways, for several units I was successful, but for some reason I am having difficulty with Lancers. In a custom battle, the unit and its flagbearer are fine (none of the colorless soldiers), but the unit card appears as a peasant holding a dagger, not an armoured horseman. I added "england" for ownership under Lancers in export_descr_unit, "england" for Lancers under export_descr_buildings, and made the following changes battles_models under the unit_models file.

Lastly, I went to ui\unit_info\france and copied the lancers_info picture into ui\unit_info\england. What I was unable to do, and I think this is the problem, is that I cannot locate the lancers picture from ui\units\france so that I can copy and paste it into ui\units\england.

Can anyone help me?

I believe the picture is in the original MTW ui folder.

Thanks for the help, but I looked and couldn't find it (maybe I just didn't see it). Also, I am having the same problem for Camel Gunners that I want to add to the Turks.

That's probably because the vanilla files are inside the .pack files. You can use the unpacker tool to access them (Medieval II - Total War\tools\unpacker).

I found the unpacking tool, but for whatever reason, I didn't notice any changes or anything happening after clicking on the icon and intering "yes" to starting up the unpacking.
