Tips for sendia early-mid game
Hi all just started a sendia campain im planning to go republic I was wondering if moving north and taking hokkido early on was worthwile (the north most island) or should I expand south towards edo and kyushu? Also what would be a good time to turtel and tech up?
Thanks for any input

Re: Tips for sendia early-mid game
It is indeed a very fun idea to relocate from the start by attacking Hokkaido immediately , i did this in two republican campaigns with Nagaoka and Aizu , and it was neat , made me untouchable in the end although it was tricky at first
I'd say with Sendai , it's the same , so if you go with a Republic , it's probably the safest way to play as hardly anyone will invade you in the far north , and with a strong fleet the AI can't do much , besides cities like Sapporo and Oshima can become quite rich too and are ideal for military ports and foreign one in Oshima , the agriculture is poor on the island , so you need to go for factories in priority
You have only one front in the south and if you have a strong navy , it's quite easy to push southwards quickly ... once you seize Ugo , you get superior troops with a gunsmith , it's a lot of fun to play it like that
