    Default Beginner Here!

Alright so I am really leaning toward installing this mod right now due to a stellar LPer by the name of SurrealBeliefs, so I know extensively about Korne, but not any of the other factions (he is on the forums I do not remember his name however). I was wondering what faction would be good for a for someone completely unfamiliar with this mod and most of Warhammer in general.

Reiksland is good. It's easy, because you're arguably the richest and most powerful Empire Faction. You're surrounded by allies who actually stay loyal to you, and will have to, because of scripts (they're not like the normal Total War AI allies who will attack you no matter how pointless or hopeless or unprovoked it is). Unlike states like Ostland and Nordland, you're in the center of the cluster of friendly states, so you won't be the direct target of the chaos hordes. The mod has loads of units for the Empire Faction, and Reiksland has a good set of even more unique units on account of the Reiksguard. Reiksland should let you see the game with a challenge, but without getting relentlessly beaten into the ground.

Try to avoid the Dark Elves - they're hard to play as.

Chaos and Empire factions tend to be the easiest.

    Reikland and Khorne, specifically.

    Sylvania is the hardest.

The Elves are tough, but that's mainly because their units are a bit underpowered.(I buffed them in my campaign because I felt they fought worse than Goblins, and it wasn't fun just sweeping over them).

The Orks are also very fun to play as, and provide a decent challange.

P.S As a personal advice, I recommend that you halve the HPs of Trolls, Mineotaurs etc in the unit_descr file. That way the units become more fun to play vs or even with, and reduces the OPness/frustration.
This is just my opinion of the game but I feel it was one of the best tweaks I ever made, in my opinion.(Given that I've both used them as well as fought against them, I wasn't happy with their OPness that was beyond the point of the redicelous)

Thanks for the advice guys, I have heard of Reiksland and I will likely play as them or Korne because I'm definity inclined to use heavy infantry which is the Kornish specialty I think.

Son of Mars , whenever you feel Empire's troop underpowered , put some pistoliers behind your frontline .

I use Pistoliers extensively (around 4 units per stack) whenever I play an Empire faction. They are just sooo good at killing things.

Just send them ahead of your main force and concentrate their fire on elite and/or heavily armored units to weaken them. Fall back when they're threatened by a counter attack (unlikely because Pistoliers are very fast, beeing the only light cavalry unit the Empire has) or when they come under heavy fire by ranged units. They also excel at taking out artillery crews.
When their ammo is spent, use them to attack lightly armored units from the rear or to ride down fleeing enemies. This way you'll train them to elite status in no time with very few casualties.

Does anyone know if the Pistoliers damage and accuracy is any lower or higher than that of other riflemen? (Handgunners and Thunderers)

Let's ignore numbers and focus on the individual unit

A pistolier and a handgunner from the Empire (standard) have the exact same accuracy

and that is a value of .025

Ah, and I take it the unit (pistolers) also lose some of that accuracy while moving?

(does the direction they shoot also account in accuracy decreases, like harder to hit enemies who are on a certain angle: like behind them?)

Not any change in accuracy that I know of.

Actually I am pretty sure accuracy does not change with movement but it does seem pistoliers are more accurate- my guess is height? Either that or simply because pistoliers can retreat quickly and actually fire all their ammo which leads to the high kill ratios compared to infantry gunners.
