    Default Provincial borders

Greetings EB fans. I've got a question about the provincial boundaries, especially in Iberia (I'm playing Lusotanni, natch). Specifically, where or what are they? Blue lines are for rivers, right, and brown is for roads, so what color (or markings) denote provincial borders? After all, one doesn't want to build an expensive mine to develop a precious metal vein that isn't even in the province. Thanks for your kind attention.

If the mine building exists as an option to build, it means it is in your province.

For the borders, i think imagination is needed.

I had this "problem" when trying to build watchtowers at the borders. Just go there with a unit of yours, and it would become clear where your enemies' borders begin, because of the change of the colours.

OK, but sometimes there are lead, copper, and other "base" metal veins that aren't really worth the effort to mine. Anyway no big deal, with four precious metal mines now on-stream I'm crying all the way to the bank .

Thanks Hannibal and Entropy for your prompt and helpful replies.

Except that you won't *get* the option to build a Mine if it's just a Base Metal mine in the area. The only regions that *can* build Mines are those with Precious Metal mines.
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

Well that makes it easy, don't it? Incidentally I'd used right-click before to check the terrain for battles, but never noticed the province name and faction symbol below . Thanks again for the info.

If you're unsure as to who owns a particular territory, hold down the right mouse button. The name of the region, along with the current owner (great for looking at FoW-shrouded areas) will be displayed by the cursor.
