    Default The Last Kingdom: Revamped.

The last kingdom is a Viking RPG. It was set up previously, but died to a lack of a player base and nothing to make it unique it was archived. However, the last kingdom is back in town with some new, cool features that have arrived.
    The new features include:
    1) new random events.
    2) skill trees and a new skillset.
    3) new factions to play as.
    4) a new optimised rank and soldier system.
Oh and of course, the factions that we could play
    1) Denmark
    2) Norway
    3) Wessex
    4) Northumbria
    5) Mercia

    the Skill Trees.

    Skill Trees
The rule regarding skill trees is that when you choose your character, you picks skill tree to reflect your profession. Now, you can pick skills in other skill trees, but you get a +2 skillpoint starting bonus on the one you've picked. for every five years of your life that your character has lived, he gets 2 skillpoints starting from the age of ten. The amount of points in one skill cannot be more than the first digit of your age, unless it is in the skill tree you are specialised in.
    Example
    Name: Bob
    Age: 20
    Skill tree: warrior
+3 duelling (warrior skill) (2 from skill tree bonus)
    +1 denouncing (sage skill)
    +1 income (crafter skill)
    +1 ship battles (captain skill)

    Skill trees:

    Warrior:
+1 Duels/single combat rolls -this character is a natural warrior and is good with a weapon
+1 to survival rolls - this character is tougher than the average citizen and can survive harsh wounds and conditions

+1 denouncer - this character knows how to sufficiently damn their enemies
+1 to all rolls - this character is wise and skilled, and has knowledge on how to do everything.
+1 piety - this character is very pious, and as such is a lot harder to successfully denounce,
+1 to escape rolls - this character can usually talk their way out of most situations, and when that fails can surprise their enemies with nimbleness.
+1 to Damner - this character can denounce one rank higher.

    Craftsman:
+5% discount when buying - this character has important trade connections, and can usually negotiate for much better prices.
+10% income - this character seems to make a lot more money than others.
+10% trade income - this character is a trusted trading partner and makes more income from trade as a result.
    - 1 enemy assassination rolls - this character is used to dealing with shady competitors.
Luck of the draw - random +/-1 to every roll.

    Captain
+1 to field battles - this character is an able tactician
+1 to attacking or defending siege rolls- this character knows the ins and outs of a fortress.
+1 to loyalty - this characters soldiers love them so dearly they will go a whole year without pay
+5% to pillage - this character knows how to quickly gain Money from a captured city.

    Armies
    Armies

The rules regarding armies is that men can be bought from the store for a price and set upkeep, and that upkeep is usually about 50 shillings per 100 men. The king usually has a standing army of 5000 men, as well as the Crownlands Fyrd which he can call upon at any time. Each lord of a province has a select amount of Fyrd and income. Expect the levies up soon.
