Lol I stared at those white dots behind them because I thought it was hinting something. Turns out the dots are part of the glass wall.

Hah I said in the CA Modding Summit forum that CA were close to announcing their latest title. The rise in dev activity was the basis of such and this happened to prove it.

Future of any Total War title to date I dont think it means our future. I'm so expecting it to be a Victorian title I should put a bet on it.

Please god ( and CA) give us Rome Total War: Rome 2.... I don't want modern age or futuristic age.

Their shirts are the same color as the German Empire in world war one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im sure that its gonna be WWI game.After this experience with train on the world map,machineguns,ironclads etc.They will use it and expand it.No Rome 2.It would be a technical step back for them.

I totally concur with you. Tough I'd love a Rome 2, I'm also looking forward with hope in a late-XIX/earlyXX century TW.

Anyway, a new TW tittle with a more global scope would be a very welcome new, specially after napoleon and shogun2 which were quite restricted in geographical and cultural terms.

Only clue I've seen so far.

There should be a special napoleon episode for Sunday it will mark 200 years exactly since Napoleon's Army stepped foot in Russia beginning his Invasion of that country on 24th June 1812!!

The next TW is not going to be R2TW. CA is following this pattern:

M2TW - remake of MTW
ETW/NTW - new time frame
Shogun2/FoTS - remake of STW
??TW - new time frame
R2TW - remake of RTW
??TW - new time frame
??TW - remake
??TW - new time frame
??TW - remake
??TW - new time frame
??TW - remake
??TW - new time frame
??TW - remake

So what you know (rest is only speculation) is 3 items. Unsufficient to make any real pattern from that.

If you add the other games

Shogun - new time frame
MTW - new time frame
RTW - new time frame
M2TW - remake of MTW
ETW/NTW - new time frame
Shogun2/FoTS - remake of STW

We have an obvious pattern here: they make 3 new time frame, then a remake, then a new time fram (3 -1 -1), and since they are making thing symetrical, it means we have a 3 -1 -1 -3 pattern, and so they need to make two new remakes before making a new time time frame.

Shogun - new time frame
MTW - new time frame
RTW - new time frame
M2TW - remake of MTW
ETW/NTW - new time frame
Shogun2/FoTS - remake of STW
ETW2 - remake of ETW/NTW using the FOTS engine (adapted to gunpowder)
RTW2 - remake of RTW

That's just a saft basis of formula ofcourse theres going to be three to begin with their not going to make STW then make MTW then make STW2 are they lol. M2TW was moved onto the 2nd gen engine. Empire was a new game but Napoleon WAS going to be an expansion so you really should count it more as an addon if anything.

As for people saying its WW1 you realise that WW1 was a fought on a front which is basically in this age a giant line, theres no way it could be done on the current engine to a high standard.
