It's early days, but again it appears we have evidence Russia is willing to go beyond simply stalling efforts at the United Nations.

With the vessel's insurance revoked as its previous insurer seeks more information regarding its cargo, the ship is unable to continue sailing and is currently off the Western Isles of Scotland. The Foreign Office has not stated where the ship will go now.

The EU has an arms embargo on Syria and Britain has been pushing heavily on Russia to stop arms shipments.

Hold on a minute. All we did was cancel their insurance. We are like the insurance capital of the world. Its the most British thing we could do given the circumstances. But the ship is off the Western Isles of Scotland. Thats Viking Country. I wouldnt want to be uninsured out there.

I wouldnt expect nothing less from the neo-colonial Oligarchic entity called the UK from that island with a long history of buccaneering and drug-trade. Oftenly it very cleverly handles geo-politics in such ways and feeds of it very well.

My Dad does marine insurance. If this is one of his, it will be the second time somebody tried to sneak weaponry by him on a ship.

Insurances are evil too. I try to avoid them best way I can. But I keep that in mind next time when shipping attack helicopters trough british waters.

It's not an arms sale, it's a transport. As I understand it, the helicopters already belong to Syria, they've just been to Kaliningrad for maintenance.
And, ummm, I hope we don't have to go into great detail about what can possibly be wrong with violating an insurance policy?
