Hey man I applaud you for sticking with and becoming good. I personally love naval battles but I don't care for how easily the wooden ships explode. It makes people afraid to bring anything but iron clad. I don't know what the answer is to fix the problem but there is for sure issues.

Maybe we should play and u could teach me the ropes?

We know why you spam Kotetsu. Because the unit is drastically OP for its price. The reason your opponents bring wooden ships is because they don't have access to the Ironclads yet. The reason they rage is because they are having difficulty winning with the ships they have available and you are just rubbing salt in the wounds with your cheesy build and playstyle. There are ways to win without spamming Kotetsu but i'm glad you are so proud of your wins against noobs with your spam build. You are just doing what everyone else is doing because the unit is OP. Congrats and thanks for posting this wonderful and insightful thread.

If you are pointing to my post, sorry if my "horrible grammar..." offend you; english are not my first language / I am portuguese; but maybe you can be less sensitive, thinking this are international forum ? ....
I can post here in a much better italian, spanish or portuguese, but for sure, you will be much more "offended" , I suppose; I just try to help that ones who like to read/post in this forum. I think any of us can tolerate some faults in the grammar camp, once the author do not use english like first language.

Sorry, but what i try to say its NOT to use wood ships. You can choose. Choose ironclads - so you will have a chance. Also, I consider myself a naval player (I come from NTW_ where I run SEN group - only naval players) and also I know the top naval players community; check my steam avatar, portuguese iron;
And if FOTS naval battles are 75% about skills and 25 about luck, in NTW are 100% about skills. Maybe you do not like /appreciate naval battles ( "clicking a mouse and keyboard"...); in the other hand, i buy fots JUST for naval battles;
So, if you are "out" of the naval community, please DO NOT judge my comments. I search this forum for this kind of info - and many others to. And me - or others - consider this game MUCH more then a simple " clicking a mouse and keyboard"...

Before i let my sea ranking slip from inactivity (stopped playing) i was ranked in the top 10 in the Naval 1v1 ladder in S2 (without drop hacking) I am currently ranked 17 in S2 1v1 land ladder (Without drop hacking). I also have top positions in the 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 ladder. I have played Total War games for almost 15 years. My clan has won more community tournaments than probably any other clan in the history of Total War and I myself have won more 1v1, 2v2, and various smaller tournaments than i am even capable of remembering over the past 15 years.

The fact still remains that the entire subject of this post IS A RAGE. The subject is confusing and completely lacking in direction. You are just rambling on. My original post remains relevant and there is absolutely nothing new you have said which warrants an intellectual response:

To all readers: I post this just to make to understand all guys who claim "koetsu must not retreat" - this are and absurd request; the CA make on fots the ships with the ability to sail backward; This ability are part of strategy; And do not forgot the retreat speed are far behind to the full speed ahead;
So, its just an nonsense to ask your opponent to not retreat; If u want to catch him - you will catch him ;

Its only me or after the last patch the ram ability are not so effective like before ?
I mean, in last days I ram one enemy koetsu 4 (!!!) times and still he survive !
