    Default Eleutheroi (boii) stack accumilation

its getting pretty ridiculous... I actually looked up the "Boii" and on wikipedia it shows them in about the same area, as one of the "most powerful celtic tribes" yeah no kidding :p im starting to regret very hard campaign mode, but thats what the guide recommended...

I got a "this year in history" that in 224 BC or something like that some roman general lend an incursion and defeated them. I cant imagine pulling that off, I'm playing it historically accurate and I dont have enough provinces. All the stacks are full of 19/19 celtic spearmen too so i dont know how im going to deal with them eventually ... i guess massive AI reinforcing armies of heavy infantry but that ruins my roman-style composition :o

Ahahaha! Oh, that's *glorious*! It's also more than a little abnormal. Yes, there's a respawning general to prevent ahistorically early expansion and to herd the AI in a particular direction, but there shouldn't be more than 2-3 stacks there, if even that many. Something's killing off the general, but leaving his army intact and making him respawn.

Anyway, my advice (unless you feel like slogging through a few hours' worth of very difficult combat!) would be to send a few relatively useless units and auto_win battles until those stacks are gone.

Also, I love what you've done with Gaul. Looks so wonderful without that hideous Arverni yellow mucking up the place.
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

I think you have to capture the town. Once you have taken Eburonum the respawning will stop.
But normally you have only a full stack defending the town and a second one patroulling the province. Maybe the Sweboz or Aedui-AI have sometimes defeated the AI-general and provocated the AI-stack spam.

There are the Boii in their central european homelands. And similar called tribes (maybe emigrants from an earlier century, donīt know the actual celtic history that exact) in the Po-Valley.
The roman fights in 225/224 bc happened against the northern Italian ones, no need to defeat the Bohemian ones in your campaign yet.

edit: What is going on in Iberia? Have the Casse conquered the western parts with a naval invasion? Have never seem them doing such a thing in my campaigns.

The script checks for a named character, if he is killed by assassins, a new army is spawned, and if that leader is killed too,...

Use Guide: How to use 'move_character' in EB or auto_win to drive them away.

I have had that exact same thing happen to me once. At least 4 to 5 full stacks around Eboronum, and also a couple of stacks to the north (not sure, could be the east) of Eboronum.

    EDIT :

Damn you all, I'm going to reinstall EB ! There goes my holiday.

Doesn't seem you need to worry about those stacks anytime soon. It will tie any Sweboz or Getai expansion there. To me that looks like a perfect opportunity to send some green generals, hastati, velites, accensi, and equites to gain some experience. Of course i may recruit galatian swordsmen and celtic slingers to bulk up my imported army and to soak in casualties. I always find sending mercenaries of the same ethnicity to kill each other somewhat satisfying. Then use my generals to lead the Roman elements around the flanks to claim victory. I am the type that would find enjoyment micromanaging such a campaign provided the game doesn't crash. Celtic spearmen aint got nothing on me! I always welcome the added experience.

Be careful if you attack them, I once had a similar situation and decided to attack one of the armies with my new marian troops to get them some exp, next thing I know I had 30 previously dormant rebel fullstacks surging south out of the province to attack Italy and Illyria. Last time I played the game they had wiped out 6 of my full stack armies, overrun northern italy and were still coming.
