Default Really laggy on 'highest' settings.

    Intel core i7-3770k 3.5 GHz (No OC'ing)
    RAM 8 GB
    Windows 7
    x2 Nvidia GeForce GT 360 4GB

I can run ultra on S2TW, NTW, and ETW with no problems or lag.

The problem happens through normal to highest settings.

    Thanks for help.

Yes, it can lag, even with the best machines.

It uses only one core of your eight and everything including the kitchen sink goes through it before the SLI setup see the first byte.

Remember, this game was released when XP thought it ruled and many still used Win98, and multicore cpus were not not a standard, yet.

Yeah, but I can run it better on my old computer.

Doesn't Shogun 2 and FOTS still run on one core?

    Thanks for help.

Yes, they run on one core and try to shove all the background noise onto the other cores but not very successful.

This will be considered off-topic but in the Shogun2 folder, check the gfx.log.txt to see if CA downgraded any of your settings. You have a good enough system they shouldn't but you never know without checking.
