To get Krell, you have to capture the Brass Keep, which is northwest of Castle Drakenhof. As for any tips... none whatsoever. I have no idea how to win as Sylvania. All I want in this game is to survive long enough to get some Blood Dragons and Necrarchs, but I keep getting overwhelmed by the sheer amount of FULL STACKS OF ELITE TROOPS the surrounding Empire factions keep throwing at me.

I know a cheat but it requires a lot of patience and a reasonably quick computer to avoid dieing of boredom). This is only any good for one or the other, although you could try it again the following turn for the units you missed out on.

Simply save before ending a turn, then end turn, if you don't get the troops at the start of the next turn then reload the save and try again. You don't want a turn in which you will be attacked as you will have to refight the battle again, and again, and again.............

As the necrarch's & blood dragons are assigned on a random chance, at some point you will get one or the other. Best done at start of a campaign with constant restarts although if doing that you could just edit the campaign file to add the troops if you wanted to.

Sylvania is probably the faction that requires THE most battles.

First you got the Empire, then you got the Dwarves, then you got the orcs, and then you got chaos coming from the north and even more Orkish hordes from the south to conquer your newly conquered empire lands

    It's a real headache ^^

Yeah, the only thing keeping me afloat when playing Sylvania is the Necromancy trait my generals have. I've *barely* won some battles, and wound up with well over half my army alive after the battle. Like, I won one of the battles with less than 20 people still on the field, and had like 800+ after. It's just... they're all bad! Mostly skeletons, because I can't afford the upkeep for better stuff like Grave Guard guys, Drakenhof Guard or Carn Wraiths. I'm still struggling to survive the first 15 turns.

Its not good to get the Sylvanian special troops so early though as they have huge upkeep. After about turn 20 when you have a dozen regions they make your offensive armies much better and not requiring reinforcements so often as otherwise in my campaigns I start to get into a stalemate where I still win most battles but require such large reinforcements that I can't expand much as it takes awhile to march new armies. Having Blood Keep still makes that much better but I find I can only expand 2-3 regions around Drakenhof and Blood Keep which is about 13-15 regions before getting into stalemate. The Blood Dragons etc makes my offensive armies able to fight 3-4 battles instead of 1-2 before needing reinforcements which is a big difference in being able to expand steadily.

Also I add_trait necromancy according to my generals command stars. 5 stars they get level 1, at 10 stars they get level 2. Only FL gets level 3. I find that is lore accurate and just enough for Sylvania.
