Default Testing TE with -mod command

    Hi!

I tried to make TE 5.1 work with the -mod command to save some space; unfortunately I'm stuck at a certain point. I think I have converted all necessary files, but after loading the Imperial Campaign (as a provincial campaign) the game crashes without a failure notice.

Perhaps anybody of you can find the failure, so here are the changed files. You have to install TE 5.0 and the update 5.1 afterwards to a te directory in your RTW directory so that all necessary files can be found in Rome - Total War\te\data\. Then copy the changed files into this directory.

Mistakes in descr_model_battle.txt and descr_model_strat.txt have already been found by me and corrected. The problem has to have another reason. One could be the different new files for the large and huge barbarian towns found in data\items and data\settlement_plans; I was unsure why the files sometimes point to files in the BI directory, although the mod should work without BI and the mentioned files are included in TE. Or there are other things I haven't found.

It would be great if we could solve this problem together!

In the following guide Stuie runs you through the process of making a -modswitch for a mod (in this case SPQR 6.0), you might want to ask there if you can't find the answer here.

I'm currently in the proces of doing the conversion for Blue Lotus, but I probably won't succeed.
