    Default Problem installing Kingdoms

I've tried to install Kingdoms many times and every time a message appears that says something like "this update cannot be applied to Medieval 2 total war". After that, the installation program shuts.
    Any help?

PS: I've installed all the patches up to 1.3 to medieval 2. I bought Medieval 2 in Spain and I bought Kingdoms in the American Amazon.com. Could that be causing the problem?

Could be as they are different language packs.

It's either buy the Spain version of Kingdoms or the US version of Medieval2, or buy the Gold Edition dvd or Steam.

Could I solve it by changing the laguage or something?

Unfortunately no - you can't change language packs with this game outside of mods. Since you're trying to mix the Spanish version and a US version of the game and expansion you'll probably have little luck. The only real option is as suggested by irishron - buy the game from an all-in-one download supplier like Steam. This game has many problems with the install but it seems from here that Steam ironed most of them out. Sorry for the bad news. Good luck!

Ok, thanks. By the way, can I install Third Age without installing Kingdoms first?

Unfortunately no. Third Age seems to be a Kingdoms mod (which I'm hardly an expert at). You'll need at least one Kingdoms campaign installed in order to run Third Age. Good luck!

No, as Third Age is a Kingdoms based mod.
