I wanted to know how to make the game darker ? I mean making the units less colorful and less cartoonish, thus more realistic !
Which file do I have to edit ?

Does playing around with brightness and contrast not help?

Medieval II is a lot less colourfull

I played with the settings in the descr_battle_map_lighting_and_fog_control.txt and it works fine !

Lower your screen brightness.
