    Default 6.4 CTD when I start a battle.

    Hey guys, just downloaded and installed SS 6.3 and 6.4 I can play the game from the campaign map, but whenever i try to start a battle i get a ctd (i've tryed to play historical battles too, same problem). I have no idea whats wrong, but i really want to play this mod, any help would be much appreciated.


    P.S. For those familiar this reminds me of a bug from Third Age: Total War, however I was able to fix that one from searching this forum.

    I take it this is the first battle you have tried, looks like a faulty install, was your UAC disabled on installation?

    Just logged in as I have the same issue as the OP. Fresh install etc, UAC disbaled, admin rights on everything possible etc, campaign works fine, but going into any battle map causes a CTD.

    Not sure if you are on Windows 7 but I am and I had Medieval 2 installed on my Program Files (x86) and that caused it to crash on all battles so I reinstalled it all including the game into my normal Program Files and now I can play all the battles in my campaigns. Hope that helps.
