Default Porting from BI to M2TW?

I'm considering porting a mod from BI 1.6 to M2TW, but could not find any tutorials. Is there one available? If not, what should I take into account, is it a very difficult process?

What about using just a background script made for BI in M2TW?

There are various changes in M2TW, including a new religion principle.
Changes in the rome.lnt file (now mt2w.lnt) require the use of new UI textures, no more faction loading symbol use.
You do not have a super faction (senate) anymore, other then the 'quote look up' no more look up files are necessary.
Battle models are now in the modelDB file and require an additional 'normal map' texture and a conversion.

So it sounds complicated... But what about BI background scripts?

Are you talking about the campaign script or the 'show me' scripts? Both can be used and expanded with the new commands. some commands might need to be reworked\replaced, like 'belief' - the error log will tell you which.
