    Default Laptop Buying Advice?

So I'm gonna finally be able to get a new computer. I've been thinking about what I want and I think I've decided on a laptop. My budgets around $800.

Games I want to be able to play are:
Total War (Rome through Shogun I think)
    Skyrim
    DOTA 2
    League of Legends

    Any models you'd recommend specifically?

I don't know much about buying computers so I figured I'd ask here. I hope this is the right place. Thanks in advance for any answers.

the dv6t is a great choice for you, search for coupons, there are always one available.

The following config is a good guideline.

    CPU: i7 3610qm
    GPU: gt 650m 1gb
    RAM: whatever it comes with
HDD: whatever you feel confortable about in terms of size, usually the 750gb 7200rpm HDD is included or its a free upgrade
    Screen: FHD display

there was a discount a few days ago and you could get it for around that price, dunno if its still avaialable, it worth to check it out, if its not, probably another has already been released or is going to be in the next few days, thats how HP rolls bro!

its at a good price for this year models, however that is a last year one, I would still get a coupon for this year model, the performance increase in the gpu side is great.

Do you really need a laptop? They are always more expensive, slower, hot, prone to dying machines. I find that most people don't cart them around either.

If you do a desktop you can build you own cheap as chips.
