I really love the "Forearms" alliance banner, however the "alliance broken" is less obvious than the cracked coin. The cracked coin is super super cool.
coin for me, it just has something better about it , great work
For ALLIANCE DECLARED I like the forearm banner better, but the crack in the ALLIANCE BROKEN banner strikes me as odd. I go with the coins.
Could we maybe use the fore arm for alliance declared and the coin for alliance broken?
The coin just looks a little weird to me.
The forearms are super-duper awesome. However I think the coins are better to understand in an eyeblink. Also because its more a drawn image instead of real-life human arms. Drawn fits the game more imo
Coin.
For the sake of 'graphical consistency', I think the forearms are much better looking. The coins are historically excellent, and for those who don't know, they represent the faithfulness of the army to the Emperor. Still, they look like they are sticking out of the picture 'in space'. Would there be a way to 'tone this down' and make them 'merge' with the picture a bit better?

I love the forearms and I think it's better for "new alliance" event. However, the tearing of "alliance broken" is not clear enough for me. The forearms are still connected...maybe make the tear more pronounced...so it can be more easily understood that it's broken?
It's exactly what I thinkAlso because its more a drawn image instead of real-life human arms. Drawn fits the game more imo
The work on Eventpics is almost done, I think this option works pretty well because is a mix between a coin and an image, and the gesture is easily recognizable. I know that some people like forearms shake, but I prefer an image that can be used both ways. This give more sense to the alternation of theese two events

Just an idea on this......suppose you:
1) have units from two clearly different factions in the two halves of the background
2) give the "coin" a clearly circular border - is there any way of making the handshake more of a stylised version (a bit like what Pacco did with some of the faction banners the symbols of which were taken from coins)?
3) make the "rip" go right through the background image as well as the foreground symbol...with just a black background where the "rip" is
Does that make sense?
Like this?
About stylization, I would like to preserve the coin "style"![]()
This one is my favorite so far! The coins remind me of the culture of the classical age, the forearms of the combat and soldiers. The new alliance with forearms also looks very nice, but the picture of broken forearms doesn't capture the message very well imho. Even at a symbolic level I find it weird that the forearms of real people would still be entangled, but broken. The broken image of the handshake however, is something I really dig.
Anyway, I really like all the new event pictures, whatever the decision.
I'm going to put theese last banners in the work. Thanks to all for your advices and your partecipation!![]()
Maybe use the idea of tone but putting the name or flag of the faction above the units?
Btw which program do you use
