Need help adding "Garrison Policing Bonus" to various units
Hello,
I am currently having trouble modifying the game files in order to add the garrison policing bonus (normally associated with dragoons) to units like militia and provincial cavalry.
I downloaded and ran DBeditor. Using this I went to the unit_stats_land folder, found the "Garrison_Police_Bonus" column, and changed the value in the column from "False" to "True" by typing True manually for each unit I wanted to change. I made sure to save after the changes.
After doing this, I loaded one of my games. I found that none of the units that I had modded had the bonus added to their Abilities list in their respective unit descriptions.
I reloaded DBeditor and noticed that there were several "packs," namely patch4 and patch.5. I selected each pack individually to see if that would make a difference. It did not.
However, I noticed that when I loaded patch4, DBeditor would say that I was editing patch2.pack. Same thing with patch5 (it would say I was editing patch3).
Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated

Hi,
Your method is correct. I believe that what you did not do however, is to create the .txt file needed for any mod to work. For knowing what you to do, see here:

See the end of the 1st post. Note that the name for the file mentionned in the thread is incorrect. It should not be "user.script.txt" but "user.empire_script.txt".
Well, you need to make sure your pack file is in data, too. Depending on the tools you use, some programs automatically show Napoleon's data folder, not Empire's one.
