Default Is replenish unit worth it for elite units?

Hey, now i have reached a lvl where i play large funds on match made battles. So i need my 150 range elite units (french, us, english marines) for every match. I dont have 150 black bears or any other 150 range so some matches i have no 150 range and i always lose. SO should i upgrade elite units with replenish unit for added cost of 70 koku?

nah m8.....marines is like gas, you don't want it to go even 1 yen higher

Or hookers, you don't want to pay higher than what u have to

Aww man you mean you go for street rat hookers? If that's your taste, but that's just dirty

I have considered the replenish unit on the marines some time ago thinking how awesome it'd be to deploy 2 every round, but ultimately I chose not to for the fact you're adding a non statistical bonus to an already pricey unit.

you guys ignore a basic thing:
    1. marines are expensive units: level 8 french one can go up to 1860-1900k
    2. my advice: do not loose money on them after u get them on 150 range.

For your purpose, just unlock the retainer who "heal" (replenish) 2 of your vet units between the battles.
    No cost for this.

I generally avoid it in S2, in fots however .... there are THREE marine units, and being able to deploy two every battle would be fine indeed. Take cheapest ones (US) and give 'em replenish. Marines are to badass to miss opportunity to deploy 2 each battle.

It might be useful on french or royal marine just because they are devastating and the price increase is not so bad. I would advise against leveling your US marines above lvl 5 - you always need them cheapest marines before you get 150 bears or imperial/shogunate inf.

To me their worth it but not on Elite units, but it all depends on your war philosophy though dude. In MM matches I avoid using too much expensive units because I end up losing because of numbers. Instead I put that clan token on one Black Bear and one Azure Dragon force which I intend to increase to level 9 btw. The reason I put those there is because first and foremost its cost effective. Secondly I consider units with price ranges of 950-1100 as the typical line inf roles, kokus with 1.5k++ are considered 'sniping' Elite units and I keep them to 1 or 2 depending on the funds setup (med, large respec). If you want to use marines just come up with a rotation, not being able to use one in a game wont be a big loss and atleast you can save them for use if you lost that one round.

A tip is to check out for the opportunity cost via the stat line reload and accu (we disregard morale melee def and atk for line inf because they are usually at same values and generals tend to ignore leveling them at low chevron branches) and compare each units i.e shogunate inf vs black bear inf on the same price range regardless of price.

Oh as an additional information level 4 Blackbears and level 5 Azure dragon force with the same ranks of reload and accu are priced at 1k a piece but azure dragon can benefit from additional suppresive fire ability which helps alot winning those line battles

retainerslots are not for free , so they are worth something ;-)

a Question about getting cost effective veterans:

When i started MP and had no clue i upgraded some of my foreign veterans with suppression fire or speed upgrade which made them to unneccesarry expensive. Is there any possibility to delete a foreign veteran and start with an vanilla unit ? I can delete every unit from my veteran List expept the foreign ones.

No. Once screwed up, screwed up for good. However you could always create second avatar - In fots it's not as painful as is in S2

I now find using the extra 70 koku good for letting me have mounted gun cavalry in shogun2 avatars every battle. Beats than waiting 1 game for them to replenish. It's best used on rare units that scale well and deals much damage upto lelves 5-6. Other than that its all a matter of preference and how you build up your deck.

No; you would be acting under the assumption that you need these units in every battle, whereas letting them have a little R&R would allow you to explore other units and their associated tactical use.
