who to conquer

i am relativley new to this mod and would like advice on who to conquer first when playing as rome

carthage and egypt
greece and asia minor
or spain and gaul

since i found out the hard way i cant deal with them all at once i would like to know which front is the most worth while

get Carthage first and after that Gaul, Spain, or Greece.

Rule 1 - everyone hates you.

Personal Rule 2 - one legion can defend a single front (just don't make it too wide).

Then, when you can afford an extra legion, you can choose your direction. Carthage is often suggested to be first, because they will not leave you alone. Secondly, if they are being conquered by the Gallaeci, it is often recommended to get into Africa before they gobble it all up and get a bit too big for their boots - and that will often mean they're next.

Keep the odd spy out and look for opportunities.

Push Carthage out of Italy, take Northern Italy and sicily, Abandon Greece, Take out Carthage Via Africa, and then push into spain, once achieved, Attack Greece then Gaul. Thats what I've done so far, is working fairly well, I was over extended at one point with a 4 front war but that was due to my stubbornness and not wanting to abandon my Greek Settlements and boy was it a pain. Stick to having as few fronts as possible.
