Anyone here play warhammer online?

THis is a bit of a long shot I know, but I figured I'd ask here in the hopes that some one that plays the game might also play CoW

I cant play Warhammer online because of this bug

It seems to be a common problem, and all the potential solutions are extremly complicated and are literally giving me a headache trying to figure them out.

When did you start playing? I pre-ordered the game, super-hyped - first MMO for me. Played the out of it for about 4 months with a friend from school but then he lost interest --> I lost interest.

I kept trying to go back to it every couple of months for a month or so. After about 8 months my server was shut down, 5-6 months after that the next server I chose was shut down - the next server I chose was Karak Norn. It just so happens that this is one of the only servers left now .

As for that issue, I remember getting it on and off. I think it just went away on its own though for me (luckily).

It was the exact same for me! Played the trial version with a few friends, my first major MMO, but when their trials ran out my friends didnt want to pay for it since they were already dedicated WoW players. So I ended up not getting a subscription either.

That was like 3 years ago and I decided to play it again since its now free. I spent the last 2 days downloading the required 12GB of stuff over the best part of 2 days on my crappy internet connection. I havent been able to make it to the charachter creation part yet. I just keep getting this bug!

I too did play couple of months back in it's early days, played with my friend, tons of fun, but we both lost interest in it, can't really say why.. Should maybe give it a new go if my old Witch-hunter still exist tought, and since it's apparently free in some form too.

There's just a lot of competition during these days, MMo market is over floading, and right now Guild Wars 2 seems to be the one I'm going to spend my time with.. On topic, I'm sorry can't help you Irish, if you do get it working feedback would be nice how it plays these days

I remember I made a Knight of the Blazing Sun myself...but their were way too many Chaos players so we would usually always get steamrolled in pvp...Horrible PVE in that game but the PVP was pretty decent. I imagine by now though its pretty dead...But good luck if you get it up and running! Not as bad as Age of Conan though...that was just epic fail all around! Well except for the decapitations and bewbz!

Yeah, it was unbalanced as hell in player counts, but it made small victories feel better, but in overall whole gameplay more frustrating. Insta-based PvP was pretty great tought, besides the fact most players didn't play the goal. Oh how many times me and my friend, WH-duo tooked alone the victory in capture the flag.. Good times.I would have gone for Sorceress, but I usually prefer playing the underdogs.

Conan was ok, indeed bewbz and decapitations as Conan game should be, but still.. I relogged back once after it went free to play, but just couldn't bring myself to care anything about the game..

Played the game since it came out on and off, in various guilds from casual to the extreme side of serious. Still one of the best games I have played (in my opinion anyway) the only down side is that it is not based for single play at all. A good guild or even the guild that best suits your play style will make all the difference.

The best stage of the game for me was in 2010 when Karak Norn had several big guilds and a very active community, unfourtunatly those days are long gone

Karak Eight Peaks was fun until the bomb squads came to the fore (and dominate to this day from what I understand) - Bloody Red Guard/Sacrx

The most fun I had in this game though, was after the Slayer/Choppa patch. Those 'toons were a lot of fun to play - far more than the vanilla characters, and with better animations/effects and feel. Oh well, I still have some good memories

I was around when they got shifted to Karak Norn hehe, bombing worked really really well for the sheer amount of players that were on the server but its taken a couple of beatings from a few patches that were released.

Close quarters no longer gave a 25% damage bonus, Knights/Chosen auras no longer did a 370-380 debuff to the opposing realms resistances, effectively cutting the damage coming from sorcs/bw's by 40%.... the rage on vent was quite spectacular from some of the bw's in my guild when the patch went live hehe, all in the distant past now though

The game has pretty much been taken over by destruction melee classes now, mara's and choppas have become very common. When doing sc's and it wasnt unusual to see 3 - 4 mara's on destructions side

I got it when it first came out. Played for a few months(much like most) and quit. I don't know why, either. I guess back in the day I was jobless and couldn't afford the monthly fee. That, or I went back to WoW.

I remember the Bright Wizard was very OP in PVP.

Hm. I might renew or just start over my subscription. However, I heard it has been going downhill and I would probably join right before they close down.

As for me, i played the closed beta of the game and it was really fun. After a couple month the game released and it somehow felt and boring, they also took out my favorite char, the dwarven hammerer, besides they everywhere put stupid npc guards to kill open pvp just after beta ended. I played it a few month with friends, but my friends and i lost simply the will to continue because the well awaited open pvp/rvr was just a big failure and not what we hoped for. And yes, one of my chars was a bright wizard and he was insanely overpowered, i had much fun though in the battlegrounds, and my friends kept flaming about how op my class was. : )
Besides all that i may have soon another look into the game and reactivate or get a new game, while waiting for guild wars 2.

Yep I had the same experience as everyone else, really. Picked it up with a few friends, and we all lost interest within the first 3 months. It's a shame, too, because it could have been amazing. I still remember Paul Barnett's video blogs, hyping up the game. He was really passionate about it, and it was cool to see someone truly enjoying creating a game. Then after the game launched, he just... disappeared. Probably sitting on his throne of money, still laughing about it all.

Later today or tomorrow ill probly reactivate account, but i wouldnt know where i could find tomb king units, besides that there is a tomb king Hero at the Free To Play dota like game, Wrath of Heroes. Wouldnt be much variety though and the camera is not very good for taking screenshots of this.

If your character's high enough get to Land of the Dead, it's all chock-full of all sorts of Khemri-stuff.

The only bad thing they did with warhammer online was the map view ( M ). The 24 diffrent Classes the RvR The world PvP everything else was great!

Yea well forget what i said. There is now no choice to pay with paypal or bank card. And i dont have a credit card nor am going to buy gametime cards. Sorry for the ruckus. It even took them one complete week to grand me access to my account again, the support is really bad, too strict and unpersonal, would have loved to give it another try until Guild wars 2 releases.
