    Default Disk Problem

I put in my disk 1 and it whirls like crazy, it makes a constant noise and it doesnt read the disk, I have tried other disks and games and they run smooth and quiet, but as soon as I put in disk 1 it whirls really fast and its noisy which prevents it from reading the disk.

So I went into my computer when the disk was in, right clicked on properties and it says that the cd rom is working fine??

So obviously I will either have to buy another one, or because I have paid for the original game, get the disk 1 off torrent?

Can you read the contents of the disc in Compputer?

    How scratched is the disc?

    Buy a new legal copy.

Any chance we could get more info from you regarding your optical drive? Is it a Blu-Ray drive or something along those lines? How new is your computer?

You have to remember when dealing with old games on discs that the physical drives may no longer support older formats. This is due to the fact that it's not easy factoring in old formats and is not always cost effective - thus newer drives may not be fully backwards compatible. Good luck!

DVD-ROM drives can be tempermental reading disks - especially if they are damaged (scratches, dirt etc) in any way.

My R:TW BI disk 'spooled up' in my drive and exploded - glass shards everywhere. Had to scrap that DVD-ROM drive.
