    Hey guys, so I've been getting CTDs now. I can't figure out what's causing them. I got a couple before I really started paying attention, but wasn't sure the cause... now it's happened three times mid-battle.

    First time: I was playing Chaos Dwarves vs Orcs. As the battle was loading, it crashed to desktop. Like, as soon as it was done zooming in at our forces, to enter the "battle is loading" thing... instant crash. Launched the game again, played a different campaign for about an hour, then went back to that one and did the battle with no problems. That's what I meant by inconsistent. They may very well be consistent with something, I'm just not sure what that is. The units involved in the fight were the same both times, and yet it only crashed loading in once...

    Second time: Playing Wissenland vs Orcs. So in this scenario, I'm playing a small Wissenland army and get called in as reinforcements for a very large Averland army. The Averland army has Bright Wizards. The battle loads up fine, and as my guys are entering the field, I'm watching the Bright Wizards begin to rain fire down on the Orcs. I see like... 10 orcs burning, and then boom, CTD. Launched the game, replayed that battle immediately, no crash at all. Played a second battle that same turn (again during Averland's turn, as they were helping me defend my city against an Orc horde)... played a similar sized battle against the other Orc stack, again with the Bright Wizards, and no CTD.

    Third time: Wissenland vs Orcs again, but this time I'm playing with my new Steam Tank. I've got... Conqueror Steam Tank, Helblaster Volley Gun, Helstorm Rocket Gun, two Empire Mortars, and one Nuln Great Cannon. The Orcs have no artillery at all. Battle begins, my artillery is opening fire. Honestly, I wasn't paying super close attention, but I am positive that all my artillery fired at least once before it crashed, but I got a CTD that battle. I haven't replayed it yet. Instead, I'm here, on the forums.

    So yeah. What gives? I was reading this http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=523570 thread in which people were discussing altering, like descr_projectile stuff... but I'm not sure I really understood it. What I did notice, however, is that no files seem to be labeled with Call_of_Warhammer, but rather all are appropriately labeled Rage_of_dark_Gods, or whatever.

    For reference, I'm using Gigantus' version, fully patched up.

    Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, every time I launch the game, the Medieval: II Kingdoms Launcher music continues to play in the background as I'm getting to the in-game menu, and then, like... crashes? The music stops, it minimizes me, and there's no error message. Then I can just maximize the game again and it's fine, so... I don't know.

    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

    Okay, not sure how to edit my original post, so I'll reply to it... replayed that third battle of Wissenland vs Orcs twice now, both times it's crashed at very near to the same point. Second volley from my artillery, it seems like. Or right before it, or during it... or something. I don't know. I thought perhaps it had something to do with toggling the Barrage ability on my Helblaster Volley Gun, but apparently not, as I didn't turn it on this time.

    The only thing that I can think is that this appears to be happening exclusively when I'm fighting Orcs. Or at least, it's only happened vs Orcs so far... but they don't have artillery this time, and don't have Shaman to cast magic... they don't have anyone who actually does anything. I don't get it.

    I'm not sure how active these forums are, and I don't mean to spam posts, but I figured I'd update this. The title of the thread says "inconsistent CTDs"... I'd like to rephrase that to "extremely consistent CTDs".

    I think Goblin Doom Divers are working, but they definitely weren't before. I went into the descr_projectiles folder as I saw in a different post, and edited them, and it works now. No CTDs. I've seen crazy goblins getting flung through the air, and it's good. But uhh... still getting CTDs from... something.

    I don't know what it is. I think it might be the Earthshaker cannon, but like... I've used it just fine before. Had it shoot down a gate to get into a siege, but didn't attack any units. Was just doing a siege defense against the Orcs (who had no Shaman or artillery of any sort), and my only artillery was the Earthshaker cannon, but I stuck it way in the back of my castle, where it almost definitely couldn't see anyone. I put it on fire at will just in case he got sight of anything, but I didn't expect him to.

    Got a CTD fairly early on in that defense. Tried it again, CTD. Tried it once more, CTD.

    So this issue and the ones I kept running into in my Wissenland campaign are really putting a damper on my ability to enjoy the mod. I mean, it's friggin' awesome, I'm not knocking that at all. It's just frustrating to crash without knowing why. I suppose I could auto resolve the battles that are crashing, but they're definitely not going to go in my favor...

    If you are using my version, have a look in the first post in the 'Error Reporting' instructions and then post in that thread - I will have a look at the log there.
    The persistent problems with the doom diver and earth shaker are finally fixed with the last quick fix.

    Make sure that you have applied all patches and quick fixes in the second post before posting your error report.

    I applied the first quickfix, the one that says the earth shaker cannon and doom diver catapults are working, and I applied it into the right place because it had me overwrite what was there. However, the Doom Divers at least weren't working, and they didn't work until I did what Cowman suggested in this thread, http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=523570 which was extending the reference for the projectiles, or something. Basically just made it point to mods/Rage_of_dark_Gods. I don't know... it worked. /shrug.

    I'll post in the other thread, though, with the logs. I'm definitely willing to chalk it up to user error, and guess that maybe I installed something wrong or patched something in the wrong place. Wouldn't be the first time, heh. Thanks for the heads up.
