Application Running Error

Hi. I played Medieval II Total War Kingdoms in Steam. I quit the game, then I wanted to play again. But when I click Kingdoms icon it says '' This game is currently unavailable ( Application running ). '' So I can't play the game. Then I tried to restart Steam, but it said '' Close the Medieval II Kingdoms first. '' What should I do? Thanks.

Hit [Ctrl+Alt+Del], bring up the Task Manager and end the application. For some reason either the game or the Steam client is hanging. Good luck!

Thanks, it worked. But it keeps happening. Looks like I have to do it every time.
