Any small tweaks to speed up DSL connection?

I'm looking some ways to further tweak my DSL connection, which seems to go slow time to time (uknown reason, maybe my network sucks), So does anyone know some simple little tricks to mess with the connection config etc? I remember, i have seen some registry edits and that sort of things, but my latest searches only gives me stupid websites with their useless software.

So anyone?

I have an Ethernet Cable linking my computer with my Router, offering 100MB connection speed instead of 54MB .... Although you shouldnt be able to see the difference, I've seen slightly quicker loading in FireFox, almost instantaneous.

Wireless connections are slower, no matter the speed, as the transmission has to be encrypted, then decrypted. Not encrypting your wireless connection is a really bad idea.

From my experence, theres no magic program or tweak thats going to suddently make your connection go really fast. They might help 1-2%, but I never noticed anything after doing many many tweaks. Do what I do, switch to a different company.

yeah, good one, this is why I was seeing if there is anything, becaue I tried all sorts of registry changes etc. but really nothing made any change to be noticable.
