    Default Historical Battles

Just something I was thinking about. I'm sure people have already suggested this, but y'know.

Would Historical Battles be implemented like in the base TW games? Complete with special voice acting and such?

Not only are there plenty of battles in the War of the Five Kings that would be good to play as, but ones during Robert's Rebellion too, like the Battle of the Trident. In fact there's so many battles that the player could recreate.

Historical battles can be fun, altough a thing that most people will only play once. I`m sure that someone will create a nice submod for them once we have released the 1.0 Version.

I think the creators should concentrate on the actual mod first.
Also i can only think of one fun battle that would be difficult to do.
    Battle of the Whispering Woods.

The map can be split into 3 areas with Riverrun in the middle, there could be 3 Lannister armies 1 in each area and 3 much smaller stark armies also split into the 3 areas.

"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

Hmm I would want to play the battle for the Fist of the First Men. Oh and Edmure Tully's defense of Riverrun could be like a tutorial err well actually most everyone who downloads this mod is a seasoned veteran so nvm

I mean I think it would be cool for the mod team to do this if they could. I mean TATW team did it although I'm not sure if this mod has the same level on infrastructure that TATW has in terms of modders and time. Just a thought.

The Battle at Stone Mill? The Riverside is held by Edmure Tully, their forces stretched thin and Gregor Clegane tries to cross the River.

The Battle of the Blackwater? Stannis tries to storm Kings Landing, but Tywin and the Tyrells join their forces to drive him back.

The Assault of Seaguard during the Greyjoy Rebellion, The Battle of Summerhall (In which Robert Baratheon won 3 battles in a single day, and basically every other battle during Roberts Rebellion..

I'd like to see the Battle of the Greenfork where you command Tywin or Roose Bolton. And if we go REALLY far back, the battles with Aegon the Conqueror. Fields of Fire anyone?

(Aegon has a lot of similarites with William the Conqueror and his invasion of the British Isles, and since Med 2 has historical battles devoted to that, they could be adapted)

Only problem is the dragon thing. While it is possible to put them in I do not thinkl they would end well.

I was thinking of battles where the oplayer can play as the winning side and still have a tough battle. The only one that comes to mind is Whispering Woods.

Man, i would love the Battle of Ice. Although ice crashing and swallowing men would be even harder than dragons, the only similar thing i can think of is the bug when in WTW you put vanilla nation in custom battle, and whole map is huge ocean in which all troops immediately drown. Stakes or warmachines would have to serve.
That sort of reminds me of Agincourt-arrogant, impetous knights on horses attack weary and hungry army which is on good position and has dismounted knights. Hope that GRRM will stick to the outcome of that battle.
Other battles that i would like: Redgrass Field, Duskendale, perhaps hypotetical Robb/Tywin battle?

Well the thing about the Historic Battles was that they were like challenge maps. So if this was coupled with some good retelling of the battles, its a feature I'd like. War of the Five Kings mainly, but some early stuff too.

I would love historical battles, though they should be around the War of the Five Kings, since that is what the game is about .

    Some suggestions;

Battle of Oxcross - The battle between Robb and Stafford Lannister. Most of the Stark forces should be mounted, with the Starks also having a good position to attack the Lannisters.

Battle of the Blackwater - Stannis attacks King's Landing from land and has to take the city before the Tyrell and Lannister forces reinforce the defenders, House Baratheon of King's Landing.

Battle of the Stone Mill - Fight at a river between the Edmure Tully forces, fighting Tywin Lannister.

Battle of Duskendale - Ser Helman Tallhart and Robett Glover fight with a northern army against the forces of Randyll Tarly.

The Battle of Castle Black - Stannis attacks an army of rebels, with only mounted forces, about half a stack.

Well if there were custom settlements the siege of Pyke would be cool as hell! Many good fighters would be involved, Robert and Stannis Baratheon, Eddard Stark, Jamie Lannister, Balon and Victarion Greyjoy, maybe Crows eye?

Dolorous Edd should be the battle advisor as well.
