Default Discussing A Song of Ice and Fire's title

What does it mean? I believe that they drop the title somewhere in the fifth book, but I'm wondering if it has an ulterior meaning. Considering that R'hllor is a god of fire, and that their followers preach a war against a god of darkness and cold, could it be that there are two supernatural entities representing each element that are at war with each other?

Or am I looking too much into it?

I personally think it is to do with dragons and The Others but R'hllor works too.
"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

Must pretty much mean an impending clash between ice and fire. The Others. The Great Other. Evil...... R'hllor. Fire. Dragons. The lord of light's faith is found mostly in Asshai, the area near-exactly opposite of the lands north of the Wall. Jon Snow is rumored to be Rhaegar's son, validating him as being Azor Ahai; what a coincidence that he's up in the north learning about the Others.

Could be that it also represents human soul-you can interprete either ice or fire as good or bad in human character, and how everyone has a mix of both.

It is the son of Rhaegar Targaryen, whether it is Jon Snow or Aegon Targaryen.
