    Default map.rwm - file

Just a comprehension question: if you delete the map.rwm file - for example if you are going to start a second campaign with another faction anlongside your running campaign - is it possible that the deletion of the file affects your saved games of the running campaign?

the question is not clear. You want to know if generating a new map.rwm file will make your savegames unplayable if you restore your previous campaign?

That file needs to be deleted if you edit map files. If you edit traits or scripts it's not necessary but it's a good practice. The game will automatically make a new one. It's build according to a number of other files, so if you restore exactly the same files also the savegames should work. Indeed, if during a campaign you delete that file but don't alter the files that influence it, the savegames work fine even with the newly generated one because it's built on the very same files.

Thank you for the reply. Thatīs exactly what I wanted to know. I deleted the map.rwm file during a running campaign and I was afraid that this will cause unwelcome changes to my saved game files. But now Iīm relieved
