    Default PC Zone

    Greetings people,
Has anyone looked at the new PC Zone magazine(UK) regarding Med2 as they have a new feature on it, I am asking incase you forgot to share the wealth as I can't afford the extravagances of sealed £6 magazines!

Just the info from E3. The only bit i hadn't heard before is that if you click on a province owned by another faction, there is a voiceover to tell you your current relationship with that faction.

It has a big picture of an English army standing behind a wall of the spikes longbowmen can set up. I hadn't seen this before either. Oh and when I say wall, I mean it is literally a wall of wood! According to the article this stopped some French infantry.

    Cheers mark0701,
Interesting the English armies of the period, in my mind one of the odd few forces, where you can have a seemingly unbalanced, and yet historically unit balanced army containing 50%(+) foot archers, ie: Agincourt perphaps 7,000 men of which I think 4,000 were longbowmen preparing to show the frencies some love

Indeed. From the sounds of it, MTW2 will attempt to mimic this through the weather engine and the new landscape effects. We may finally see an army struggling up a muddy slope, all the time its numbers being cut down by missile fire!

The balance between the effect of different units in different conditions and the new recruiting system with "pools" of men, will be the make or break of the game IMHO. If it works properly, it will finally force the use of balanced armies and make things that bit more difficult for the player.

This was the major thing missing from RTW which allowed the old steamroller approach as you knew you could always replace your loses once you sacked the next settlement.
