Has anyone seen this? Why are they making a game where Gollum brawls with Gandalf and the Witch-King in an arena?

Then Sauron steps out and is like "HI! GUYZ!" and everyone switches on the lights in their glowy weapons... wtf................................

Yeah I'm getting a bit of a Raiden feel from Gandalf and what was up with Saurons head that made no sense.

Fighting games are almost by their very nature, not in line with lore. Two characters from a fictional universe squaring off against each other in some sort of gladiatorial arena rarely is. Lore has no place in fighting games. That doesn't mean they can't be fun and that some people don't enjoy them quite a bit.

The worst of all is that it's only for the console... War in the North actually turned out to be a good game and not that much lore-rape, but this game promises nothing to me...

While a terrible handling of the books of JRR Tolkien it might be a good game in itself.
I doubt it will be interesting though, as what new may they offer to this genre? Inviroments possibly but thats just cosmetics after all. And a start with only 20 heroes/villains puts is far back in the class room in the competition. Additional h/v's will (ofc) come but will it manage to maintain the players till then? Sceptical.

At least the graphics in the CGI are top notch. If the ingame graphics are that cool will be a funny game. I see no problem in that kind of game which is obviously just supposed to be for fun just like games like Marvel vs Capcom. For all of those that want a more serious approach there will always be TATW. Woohoo, 3.2 just finished downloading. Excuse me gents, I need to play, hehehehe.
