can someone point me in the right direction on how to change unit cards?

Okay. I'd like to point you in the right direction.

But what exactly are you asking: do you want to make new unit cards for skins that lack them, or do you have some new cards that you've downloaded and want to insert them into your game's UI files to replace 'nilla cards?

There are tutorials that cover the former which are quite involving and require some special tools (utilities) to get acceptable results. The latter is just a simple copy and paste process with possibly a bit of file renaming involved. You'll find tutorials to cover this too.
