    Icon5 Additional units?

I'm downloading this amazing looking mod right now, I've never played it before, but I'm basically looking to make my first playthrough as detailed and fun as I can, the way I hope to do this is of course by using mods!

Now Baron Samedi's submods compilation seems to be the most obvious mod, since everyone on youtuve raves about it, so i'm going to download that, but I'm also wondering which mods are the best for adding additional units to the game?

The additional units mod looks like a must have, but are there any others that would be recommended to enhance my game experience?

I love Baron's submod, but I would recommend MOS instead simply due to the fact that Baron's is so buggy, I never managed to get a campaign past the 80th turn. MOS still has a few bugs, like I couldn't fight Gondor in a city as Harad, but other than that is much stabler. MOS also contains a submod which gives extra units as well.

Hmm I'll have to choose between the two then, is there much difference between them other than one being buggy?

Baron's mod is a bit buggy and can crash from time to time. In my campaign with it i never got past turn 152 because of a crash. Now i'm playing MOS, wich is even bigger then Baron's mod.

152 turn?? maybe you are one of the lucky guys who got past the 100 turn ... most of us with baron's didn't make it past 80-90 turn

If you want a long campaign, don't play Barons. Its great fun but it will crash alot, and since he's busy working on other things there probably won't be any fixes for sometime. MOS on the whole is much stabler and has a similar size as far as I know.

Because i went a little off topic before ... concerning the OP ... i will suggest play vanilla TATW and as submods only search for the latest campaign and battle AI ... maybe even germanicu5 interactive gameplay
At least that's included in mine TATW but that's of course is a matter of preference

I definitely wouldn't download Baron's submod currently as it isn't stable.

For a first playthrough I suggest TATW without any submod. Unlike total war games you buy from the shop, TATW can be played the way it was released.

    For a second playthrough:
