Indeed, can be that true? Is it fake? What the...?
so because a non-official steam group says "2012-2013", you believe it?
WOw.
Talk about desperate to get some news. Even the scene from the Eagle.

Maybe CA/Sega will announce the game at the E3, which starts on the 5th of June I believe.
CA isn't going to be there, and never has been there AFAIK. Sega might announce something, although I really doubt it.
And that thing on Steam is purely a fan group who wants it. Personally I want it to be true, but I doubt it is. R2TW will probably come in 2 years, on the 10th anniversary of RTW
That makes sense.R2TW will probably come in 2 years, on the 10th anniversary of RTW
with all respect to your opinions, I am hopping R2TW will be out sooner, not really a shogun fan, so I am waiting and hopping for the next total war title!!
They better have flaming hot girls instead of flaming pigs and naked fanatics...war is sausage fest at least they can give us something with boobs....I mean back then they let it all hang out ...my Illirian ancestors trained women in warfare and some of them led the armies in battles...so please do not disappoint me CA. Oh and give us campaign editor and more choices to what weapons and armor we want our units to have.... You know, Caesar was Emperor long time ago I am trying to be the one in the game on my own terms

I like the part about the weapons and armor. I think it would be cool if they somehow allowed the human to make a unit. So we could start to almost customize our armies. But make it to where the cost of the unit is reflective on what the quality of weapons etc. are.
It would also make creating units for mods easier
I don't know about the customization of units, but I would like to see a full unit of 100 or so soldiers all carrying different weapons. Most often in war, soldiers would sometimes arm themselves with a weapon of their choice, or a weapon they looted, so not every one had a sword, some had axes, some hammers. Unless of course you get into the more professional ranks of the military where everything was uniform.
I totally agree. It shouldn't be too hard to do either. It's already somewhat possible in M2TW, but the units use the same animations. I say animations should vary even within units to make every soldier look more individual.

I am a HUGE fan of RTW but I just said that that makes sense eventhough I would like that RTW2 is next, but indicates that it will not be.with all respect to your opinions, I am hopping R2TW will be out sooner, not really a shogun fan, so I am waiting and hopping for the next total war title!!
ROme total war 2 wont ever happend. Total war rome 2 will though. I am okay with waiting, because most likely CA will make a new engine, which i hope and pray will have modding intergrated from the getgo.
The best way to word it is 'Rome 2: Total War'. The title should always end with the words 'Total War', it just sounds better that way! Say it yourself and see. It's no biggie, not by a long way, but might as well get the name right, eh?
Is that an official Steam page? They've worded the title right anyway.Brief History: Rome 2: Total War is scheduled for release in 2012-2013 no specific date was listed. This game was created by The " Creative Assembly " - History- Creative Assembly (CA) has created some of the best strategy games out on pc as of now. Their trademark games (Total War) Are a mixture of tactical reference such as Risk mixed with real time 3D battles. The history began in 2000 when their 1st game ( Shogun: Total War ) was released soon in 2001 they released Mongol Invasion an expansion to Shogun. In 2002-2003 They released Medieval: Total War a medieval type strategy Total War Game, 2003-2004 : Rome: Total War - 2006 ( Medieval 2: Total War ) same year with Kingdoms expansion pack. 2008 - Empire: Total War - 2009 : Napoleon: Total War and their latest game , 2011- Shogun 2: Total War.![]()

OPEN BATTLEFIELD CAPTURE POINTS AND IMPACT PUFFS HAVE GOT TO GO!
REVERT INFANTRY THROWING PILAE TO ROME TW'S SYSTEM AS IT WAS PERFECT!
Mobo: GA-P35-S3, CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66Ghz, GPU: AMD HD 6850 1GB, RAM: 4.Gb Corsair DDR2, Sound: Audigy 4, O/S: Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
It sounds better, but it appears as if CA is now naming things TW: (name of game)
And it is not official, if it was there would be a link to CA's website, and CA's website or twitter or facebook would say something. Plus the person who made it would probably have a steam username having something to do with CA, so it is purely a fan group
I hope (should they ever make it) that RTW2 will be more historically accurate.
My sentiments exactly! And I sincerely hope CA will make it as "modable" as the original RTW, and give us more fun than just the vanilla game itself.
Hey--why can't CA use EB as the jumping-off start of RTW2 [or R2TW if you prefer to call it]? I mean, the historicity of EB and all that--and maybe make it a little better [or faster-loading] than EB.
Hawooh.

Oh how I wish CA would put us all out of our misery and tell us once and for all; will we get Rome II Total War or no. I have all Total War games except Shogun and they are the only computer games that I buy. At the moment I love playing Napoleon TW (Napoleonic Total War III mod) and if the next version of Rome is anything like as good I'll buy it. Come on CA stop teasing us.
I would love to see you able to pick from the population the best troops, best farmers, best miners and so forth, you know kinda of like a data base in which you can recruit a unit to your specfications and you pick the armour, their specailty and their abilties, so forth, i think the game would be a lot more intresting, another thing i would love to see is less cities when you start off, i dont know if it is just me but i love starting out with one city and then building an empire, for example start out with carthage and then you have to build an empire from stratch and defeat lybians, numdians. I would also love to see more tribes for example have a tribe deciated to a pictular unit, for example lybians, once you conquer them your able to recruit them your self, i think that would be a cool idea.
