I could have sworn there was a thread for this already but I can't find it. Anyway, first full trailer

Looks like they are tying it into the third movie.

Looks pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

(P.S., if the other thread is still around I'm sorry. I couldn't find it)

Only the first movie was above average. The rest have just been a quest for more money.

Perhaps...But what do you think of the looks of this one?

To be honest i don't like how it looks so far alot of the action scenes look over the top for me compared to the previous 3 films, i don't like the look of the actor who will be portraying Jason Bourne/David Webb and most importantly the fact Matt Damon isn't said character, i wish they wouldn't bother carrying on a franchise without the orginial actor(s).

However as Rachel Weisz is in it i will watch it she's one of my favourites

Jeremy Renner isn't playing Jason Bourne. He is playing Aaron Cross/Kenneth Gidson, who is an agent of the successor program to Treadstone. As the title suggests, he is a product of the legacy of the "failures" with Bourne.

Ah right that makes more sense.

I haven't read the books and you can live with my opinion instead

I quite liked all of them. Not in a "wow, this blows my mind, it's so good"-way, but they were damn decent.
Some day I'll actually write all the reviews I keep promising...

Hahaha...looks like they tried to shut the program down and he disagreed. I love it.

The Bourne trilogy, I'm a big fan so just a little concerned this might lose the atmosphere of the first three. Saying that the trailer looks pretty good. I noticed some crossovers of the original time-line so hopefully this fits in rather than tries to move in a totally different direction.

It appears as if part of it takes place alongside of the second half of the third movie.

I enjoyed the 1st 3... although I'm less interested in a new main character

I like how they're tying this into the bigger universe, this movie could just have easily been a total spinoff.

It looks good, and Jeremy Renner is a good actor. Hopefully Bourne will make a cameo

Legacy was my favourite of the books, but this looks totally different, nothing like the book, could still be good though.

Me too. I think it will be good though.

I can understand Damon not wanting to work with another director but it still annoys me.

The same director was getting boring as hell anyway. That's what I love about the Mission Impossible movies. The director changes every movie. We get the same fun espionage, but with a different director the style and execution changes.

I have high hopes for this. Jeremy Renner is a talented actor and honestly looks more the part than Damon ever did. Tony Gilroy previously directed Micheal Clayton (which was Oscar nominated) so he obviously knows what he's doing in that department, and finally, he did the screenplay for all three previous movies so the story should be solid. All signs indicate that this will be on par or even better than the previous films.

Well, Matt Damon was supposed to NOT look the part I think. I got the impression the whole point of Treadstone was that these guys could live ordinary, even generic lives until activated.

That was a point they made, though they say 'invisible' which is open to interpretation, I guess... However, all the other 'Treadstone assets' we saw looked like assassins..
