Rude players.

Is it just me or does RTW have a high percentage of nasty types who like to be just plain rude to the people they are playing with?
Maybe it's like that in all MP games. I guess i remember it being so with others such as CS or Ghost Recon. Maybe it's just more shocking when you are playing RTW cause you expect a more thoughtful type to be your opponent.
It's depressing sometimes the way a total stranger will talk to you with no provocation. I guess many of them are teens who know no better. Sometimes whent they start in i just end the game if i'm hosting and find someone more polite.

Whenever I'm in the chatroom waiting for a game to go up, there's nothing but people spamming and cursing and all the crap. But I mostly ignore it, since I had to deal with the same stuff in the Starcraft chatrooms.

Yeah, there are quite a few idiots in the chatroom that really get on your nerves, and thankfully I think most of them dont come to TWC :original: What I hate more is the guys that are idiots and curse all the time and then dont follow any game rules that are set. That really gets me mad

Thats what happens when people and the internet come together. People + the internet=all emotions, opinions and interaction amplified and obnoxi-fied x 10 So, something thats funny becomes zOMG ROFL! True, but you wouldnt like it if people bashed your race, religion or beliefs, and neither do other TW players, and besides, it has nothing to do with RTW multiplayer, and should not be in a RTW chatroom for organising games.

If swearing gets you worked up, I'd hate to see you manage a stressful situation...

It's like that in all mp online games.
I was a huge COD(UO) COD2 fan and found my online experience with other players, for the few years I played, very distasteful to say the least.
Guild Wars, Star Wars, BF2 ....All filled with immature hotheads.

So I completely avoid any type of online mp gaming and stick to singleplayer.

It's not the namecalling and cursing and such that made me quit as much as the aqusations of cheating and then getting booted or banned because of their delusions. I'll never go back.

It's true I am a bit over sensitive. I'm not sure i want to get sensitised to people treating total strangers like don't avoid the censor though. I just find it depressing that one human being behaves in such a way to another even if it is in a none important environment. The human condition sometimes depresses me and i see the minor things as a microcosm of the larger issues in life.

I love online RTW even when i get my ayass handed to me by a better player, some dude cleaned my clock four times in a row the other day hehe. But having nasty and snide comments typed at me while i'm playing just sullies what should have been a nice experience.

You're not being over-sensitive, I think your opinion on the subject is very valid. :wink:
