    Default Ships in Westeros

    Hey,

I have been wondering how many types of ships will there be in the mod? Will there be only war-galleys, dromonds, longships and cogs? Or will there be different types of them, such as two hundred oar war-galleys. I mean, it would add much to the mod if these were included.

Also, will it be possible to hire sellsails, and make admirals constant, at least in Rome: Total War the names of the admirals change as you move ships away and stuff. So that Admiral Salladhor Saan for the Stannis faction will not be changed.

Just think these things would add to the mod, at least for me .

Sellsails as in a mercenary ship? Most liely i guess.

As far as types of ships go, the preview for House Hoare in the KORAH submod had longships for the ironborn, so it's certainly possible, if not probable.

I was certain that those were the types of ships, what I was not certain of was if there would be different types of them, with different numbers of oars.

It is possible to give different shipstypes of the same faction unique stratmodels through traits for admirals and some scripts, we have researched that possibility in King of Rivers and Hills. So I assume it is also possible in the main mod, whether it is worth the trouble is a different matter.

We can make admirals permanent by giving them command stars. It is rare to see it, but admirals can also have traits and ancillaries.

There will be different kinds of ships, but i don`t think that we will go into too much detail. Because let`s face it, we don`t need too much ship variation.

    Sellsails will be available, ofc.
